Rules
This market resolves to “Yes” if, between January 19, 2026 and January 26, 2026 (inclusive), there is at least one new killing in the United States in which a person is fatally shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during the course of enforcement activities. A “killing” is defined as an incident in which an ICE agent’s discharge of a firearm at a person results in that person’s death, as confirmed by official law enforcement statements or widely recognized news reporting. Incidents where shots are fired but do not result in death, or where shots are fired by non-ICE personnel, do not qualify. This market excludes the January 7, 2026 killing of Renée Good in Minneapolis, which has already occurred. The market resolves to “No” if no such qualifying ICE-related killing is reported by 23:59 UTC on January 26, 2026. Resolution will be based on official announcements and reporting from major national or local news organizations.
